TWITTER LAUNCHES FOLLOW BUTTON FOR WEBSITES

Twitter's new follow button, which was released yesterday, doesn't do anything wildly new, but it does show that the company is very focused on keeping businesses happy.
The follow button's basic functionality is the same as it always has been. It lets businesses and organizations tell their web readers that they have a presence on Twitter, and it lets the users follow the Twitter account in a click ......

The difference now is it takes one click less—but that one click is huge for businesses

The new follow button, put out directly by Twitter,  You have to be logged into Twitter for it to work. If you're not logged in, a pop-up window will prompt you to log into Twitter, while giving you a preview of the person you're about to follow, showing the user's profile, number of followers, and the number of users he or she is following, too.

Twitter's Brian Ellin wrote: "More than 50 sites have added the Follow Button today, making it easy for you to discover the Twitter accounts of your favorite reporters, athletes, celebrities, and other personalities. Using the Follow Button is as simple as a single click.
